………Promise to Redefine Legislative Representation
The National Rescue Movement in Kogi state has successfully conducted primary elections for Senate, House of Representatives House of Assembly and governorship positions for states that will have there own conducted altogether.
The primaries which held simultaneously across the state on Thursday 28th May 2026 produced Mallam Bala Abdulghafar Dirisu as the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives position for Lokoja/Kogi Federal constituency of the Confluence state.
Mallam Bala Abdulghafar Dirisu who is the Deputy National Auditor of the party emerged as the consensus candidate after party excutives, delegates, and supporters unanimously accepted his candidature.
The election which was conducted peacefully without any rift and under the strict supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission officials was relatively peaceful and was certified free, fair and credible by the electoral umpire followed stipulated party guidelines and the umpire’s regulation.
Mallam Dirisu while speaking to newsmen after the process promised that if given the opportunity to serve in the green chambers by the good people of Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency, he will redefine the art of legislation that will benefit the people and impact their lives positively.
He said National Rescue Movement is the political platform that will change the art of leadership because its a political movement that has the interest.of the people on its programmes and agenda.Mallam Bala Abdulghafar Dirisu is not new to leadership as he comes from a family that has produced quality leaders who have served this nation meritoriously.
