The Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Honourable Victor MD Kpanaki, has congratulated the Executive Chairman of Bassa Local Government Area, Chief Theophilus Daruwana Adama, his Vice Chairman, Honourable Aisha Idris, and the 20 other Local Government Area Chairmen across Kogi State on their successful election and inauguration.

Honourable Kpanaki, an ardent youth advocate, described the electoral victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmen and councillors as a reflection of the confidence reposed in the party by the people of Kogi State.
He noted that the overwhelming support received by Chief Theophilus Daruwana Adama and his team was a testament to their hard work, dedication and commitment to grassroots development during their first tenure.

The SSA further stated that the victory also demonstrated the growing acceptance of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration, particularly in view of the numerous infrastructural projects and development initiatives being implemented across the state.
Honourable Kpanaki commended Governor Ododo for his commitment to bringing governance and development closer to the people, stressing that the administration’s achievements across various sectors contributed significantly to the APC’s success in the just-concluded local government elections.

According to him, the Governor’s strides in infrastructure, youth empowerment and other critical sectors have continued to strengthen public confidence in his administration.
“Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s giant strides across various sectors are transforming Kogi State and bringing the dividends of democracy closer to the people. These achievements have further endeared him to the people and strengthened their confidence in the APC,” he stated.
Honourable Kpanaki urged the newly inaugurated council chairmen and councillors to justify the confidence reposed in them by prioritising the welfare of their constituents, promoting inclusive governance and delivering tangible development at the grassroots.
He particularly charged the Bassa Local Government Chairman, Chief Theophilus Daruwana Adama, and his Vice Chairman, Honourable Aisha Idris, to sustain the momentum of development, promote peace and unity, and create more opportunities for youths and women across the local government area.
He reaffirmed his commitment to youth mobilisation and constructive engagement in support of the Ododo administration’s development agenda, while calling on the people of Kogi State to continue supporting the government in its efforts to build a prosperous and united state.
Honourable Kpanaki concluded by wishing the newly elected and inaugurated local government leaders successful and impactful tenures, expressing confidence that their leadership would contribute to the continued growth and development of Kogi State.
