The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) has invited veteran table tennis tactician, Coach Friday Abah, to the national camp ahead of the 2026 African Youth Championship scheduled to hold in Accra, Ghana, from 20th to 30th July 2026.

The invitation to the Technical Director of the Kogi State Table Tennis Association was conveyed in a letter dated 26th June 2026 and signed by the Secretary General of the NTTF, Olusoji Akanmu.
In the letter, the federation requested the prompt release of Coach Abah to join the national team’s preparations, which begin with a camping exercise at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, from 28th June 2026.
Earlier, six promising table tennis players from Kogi State had already been invited to the national camp as part of Nigeria’s preparations for the continental championship.
This latest invitation extended to Coach Friday Abah further highlights his reputation and standing within the Nigerian table tennis community.
Coach Abah is widely regarded as a highly tactical and technically sound coach who has nurtured several national players currently making remarkable strides in the sport.
His commitment to grassroots development and player mentorship has earned him widespread recognition and respect across the country.With this invitation, the experienced tactician is expected to bring his wealth of knowledge and expertise to the national team as Nigeria aims for a successful campaign at the African Youth Championship in Accra.
