Kebinatshipi leads the charge for glory in Gaborone

Speaking during an online press conference organized by World Athletics, relay star Collen Kebinatshipi exuded confidence and unity, declaring that the team is fully focused on delivering a performance worthy of the home crowd when the global showdown hits Gaborone on May 2–3.
“We are aiming to deliver our best,” Kebinatshipi said. “We won’t talk too much about breaking the world record, but gold in the 4x400m is the target, and we want podium finishes across all relays.”
For Botswana, this isn’t just another competition, it’s history in motion.

He also brushed aside reports suggesting unrest in camp over allowances, insisting the team remains focused and undistracted.
“I’m not aware of that,” he said firmly. “We are in camp and concentrating on the task ahead.”
