The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar, has endorsed the forthcoming Bassa-Nge National Youth Conference scheduled to hold on Saturday, 29th August, 2026, in Lokoja.
The Speaker commended the initiative, describing it as a timely platform for bringing together youths of Bassa-Nge extraction and key stakeholders to discuss issues that affect their future and the development of the state.
He urged the organisers and participants to sustain their commitment to unity, peaceful coexistence and meaningful contributions to the growth of Kogi State.
Rt. Hon. Umar also described the Bassa-Nge people as enterprising and development-oriented, encouraging them to build on these strengths by promoting social cohesion, collaboration and positive engagement across the state.
The endorsement further underscores the growing support for the conference and its vision of mobilising Bassa-Nge youths for greater leadership, unity and development.
