The 2026 Kogi State Civil Service Week is scheduled to commence on Friday, September 25, and run through Tuesday, September 29, 2026, with a series of activities planned to celebrate civil servants across the state.
The Kogi State Head of Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, disclosed this during a general meeting with members of the Main Organising Committee in her office in Lokoja.
Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa said all necessary arrangements had been put in place to ensure the successful and memorable celebration of the Civil Service Week in the state.
According to her, the programme will commence on Friday, September 25, with Jumu’ah prayers. On Saturday, September 26, members of the committee and other participants will visit an orphanage (motherless home), while Sunday, September 27, has been set aside for special Christian prayers for the Civil Service Week.
The Head of Service added that a road walk would be held on Monday, September 28, while the celebration would climax with an Award Night on Wednesday, September 29.
Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa charged members of the organising committee to remain dedicated and committed to their various responsibilities to ensure the success of the event.
She urged civil servants to embrace the celebration, describing the Civil Service Week as an opportunity for workers to celebrate themselves and appreciate their contributions to the development of the state.
“Let’s celebrate ourselves together as civil servants. The Civil Service Week is our own,” she said.
The Head of Service also commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for giving civil servants in the state a sense of belonging through his administration.James SaniInformation Officer,Office of the Kogi State Head of Service
