Office of the representative of North Central zone of the Handball Federation of Nigeria has directed all Directors of sports in states of the region to get their referees prepared for the forthcoming North-central zonal handball referee training course.
In a letter released on Friday, 8th May 2026 by the office of the North Central zonal representative, the training course for referees in the zone will take place from 31st May 2026 to 5th June 2026 at the Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Complex Abuja.
All Directors of sports are by the letter advised to send a pair of Male/Female referees within the range of 15-18 years old for the training programme.
Active player are also encouraged to take advantage of the programme by participating as it will afford them the opportunity of arming themselves with some vital and current aspect of laws of the game.
The training is expected to last for 6 days after which a National grade 3 Certificate will be awarded to participants. The statement also advice referees above the stipulated age of 15-18 to stay away from the training programme.
