The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State Chapter, Comrade Abdulrahman Abdulmumuni Enesi, has endorsed the 2026 Bassa-Nge National Youth Conference and pledged his full support for the programme.
Comrade Enesi made the commitment when the Central Planning Committee of the conference paid him a courtesy visit. He commended the initiative and recalled his participation in the previous edition, noting that he was impressed by the vision and direction of Bassa-Nge youths.
He assured the committee of his 100 per cent support for the conference and encouraged the organisers to sustain the initiative as a platform for youth engagement, unity and development.
Also speaking, the Kogi East Zonal Secretary of the NYCN commended Bassa-Nge, describing Bassa Local Government as a unique local government with a strong sense of hospitality and community.
He recalled the Council’s previous visit to Bassa and appreciated the respect and warm reception accorded the delegation.The Central Planning Committee appreciated the NYCN leadership for the endorsement and called for continued support and partnership towards the success of the conference.
Leader of the delegation, Mr. Dan Shaibu, appealed for greater support and stronger synergy between the conference organisers and youth leadership structures across the state.Also speaking, Obadiah Samuel described the visit as a demonstration of respect for the youth constituency and an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with the NYCN leadership.
The 2026 Bassa-Nge National Youth Conference is scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Conference Hall, Majesty International College, Lokoja, with the theme, “From Potential to Power: Mobilizing Bassa-Nge Youth for Transformation.”
