The Council of Bassa-Nge Chieftaincy Title Holders has endorsed the 2026 Bassa-Nge National Youth Conference, pledging its support for the initiative and calling for greater unity among Bassa-Nge people.

The council, led by its Chairman, Alhaji Abdulmumin Umar, received the delegation of the Bassa-Nge Community Development Network (BNCDN) during a meeting in Abuja.


Among those present were the Makama of Bassa-Nge Kingdom, Hon. Jacob Edi; M.B. Abdullahi; Engr. Ishaku Tikon; and the T.A. Mforni of Kambu Clan in Jukun Kingdom.The delegation, led by the President of BNCDN, Mr. Joseph Emmanuel Yaba, briefed the council on the forthcoming conference and its focus on youth leadership, enterprise, education, innovation and community development.

The President of Bassa-Nge Youth Association, Alhaji Aliyu, also spoke on the objectives of the conference and appealed for the council’s support.Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Comrade Dan Shaibu thanked the council for the warm reception and sought its blessings and support for the programme.

Responding, the Makama of Bassa-Nge Kingdom welcomed the delegation and stressed the need for Bassa-Nge to present a united front in pursuing the development of the people and the kingdom.
Hon. Jacob Edi reinforced the call for unity and assured the delegation of his full support for the conference.The Chairman of the Council of Chieftaincy Title Holders, Alhaji Abdulmumin Umar, further reaffirmed the council’s commitment to a united Bassa-Nge.
He called for the development of a harmonious platform capable of championing the collective interests and development of Bassa-Nge.He commended the leadership of BNCDN for its foresight and efforts towards community development and assured the delegation of the council’s readiness to support the 2026 Bassa-Nge National Youth Conference.
The endorsement further underscores the growing support for the conference, scheduled for August 29, 2026, in Lokoja, with stakeholders continuing to rally behind efforts to mobilise Bassa-Nge youths for meaningful development.
