Youths lead by Comrade Jibrin Atuluku and his team including critical stakeholders of Okura Ward in Kogi State on Wednesday converged in a massive town hall meeting to sensitize APC members and the opposition on the need to support all candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 General Elections.
The gathering resolved that “Okura is APC in all ramifications” and that the ward will speak with one voice to ensure victory for the party from top to bottom.
UNITY OVER DIVISION, PROGRESS OVER RETARDATION
In a communique read at the end of the meeting, the stakeholders emphasized that unity has become sacrosanct for Okura Ward to make demands and receive the dividends of democracy.
“We have chosen unity over division. We have chosen progress over retardation. We will not allow religion, ethnicity or sectionalism to divide us again,” the communique stated.
The meeting called on all eligible voters in Okura Ward to sustain and support:
- His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR – President, Federal Republic of Nigeria
- Dr. Erico – Senate Candidate, APC
- Rt. Hon. Gowon Paul Haruna [IJN] – House of Representatives Candidate, APC
- All Members of the House of Assembly contesting under APC in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections
The stakeholders also used the opportunity to sensitize members of opposition parties in Okura Ward to join the moving train of progress.
“We are extending hands of fellowship to our brothers in other parties. The development of Okura Ward is bigger than party. Let us come together and vote APC for continuity and progress,” one of the youth leaders said.
According to the convener , comrade Jibrin Atuluku and his team, the only way Okura Ward can make strong demands for roads, jobs, empowerment, and security is by delivering 100% votes to APC candidates in 2027.
“When we play our part by voting massively, government will play its part by bringing development to Okura Ward. That is the covenant of democracy,” he added.
The meeting ended with prayers for peace, unity, and the success of APC at all levels.
