The kogi State chapter of the African Action Congress has concluded its primary election for the three (3) Senatorial districts, House of Representatives and State assembly constituencies in the state ahead of the 2027 general election.

The excercise which was monitored by representatives of the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC was adjudged to be free, fair and credible and met the required standards set by the body for political parties primary election conduct.

In an interview with newsmen after the excercise, the Chairman of AAC in Kogi State Comrade Abel Emmanuel Monday said the party decided to follow the directives of the Independent National Electoral Commission and also meet up with its requirment for the conduct of primary election ahead of the general election.

Comrade Abel appreciated the Electoral umpire for coming to monitor the excercise which he said was carried out in accordance with the party rules and regulations guiding the conduct of primaries elections as set out by INEC and the Electoral act 2026
” As a political party, AAC have always carry out its political responsibility in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations set out by INEC. Therefore, this process is no exception. We want to get it done with state primary election so we can settle down properly to other basic activities ahead of the general election and mobilize massively in the 21 local government for our Presidential aspirant Omoyele Sowore, with Sowore the future is great we thank God it was done successfully “
