Kogi State chapter.of the National Rescue Movement today 28th May 2026 conducted primary elections for aspirants vying for various political offices across the state.

The excercise which was strictly monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission in kogi state was relatively peaceful, free, fair and credible and also met the standards of political party primaries as set by the umpire for the conduct of primaries.

In an interactive session with newsmen who came to monitor proceedings, the state chairman of National Rescue Movement in Kogi State Comrade Godwin Wambebe said it imperative that parties conduct primaries for aspirants who will represent the party in the 2027 general election and Glory be to God the exvercise was successfully conducted.

Comrade Godwin Wambebe thanked the National Management Committee, the National Executive Committee of the NRM under the dynamic leadership of the National chairman Prince Dr Chinedu Obi, State Executives, the National officers of NRM from Kogi State, teeming supporters of National Rescue Movement across Kogi State and the Electoral umpire for the success of the process.
He said the party is taking the message of RESCUE NIGERIA to every corner of the state as the party prepares to position itself for greater exploit in the next dispensation.
At the end of the excercise, various candidates who will fly the party’s flag in next year’s general election emerged under the close supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
